April 13th, 2025 // Vol. V // Yeah, Yeah, I'm Late

Buenos Días. Live from sunny Houston, it’s the 13th of April, also known as:

  • Palm Sunday (Welcome to Jerusalem, Jesus)

  • National Borinqueneers Day (Thank you to our Puerto Rican brothers and sisters for their service)

  • National Make Lunch Count Day (This day was founded by TGI Fridays—seems like a scam to me)

  • National Peach Cobbler Day (I love peach cobbler, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like this should fall during the summer)

  • National Scrabble Day (I’ll be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever played Scrabble, and I’m not planning on changing that today)

  • National Thomas Jefferson Day (I think it would be far easier to just refer to this as “Thomas Jefferson’s Birthday”)

Still no thoughts or recommendations today, and church gave me a bit of a time crunch, so we’re looking out for the environment and doing some more recycling from Jason Of All Trades. Now, let’s have a day, shall we?

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Welp, it’s after 12:00p. Whoops. Still working out how to make this more efficient with all of the other business in my life. Thanks for sticking with me.

As always, email me with any column requests or content ideas. Now, it’s a great day to have a day. Drink plenty of water. Go outside. And remember: the greatest gift of life is simply being alive. Make the most of it.

Hasta mañana.
