Morning. There’s an alleged “cold front” rolling through Houston this morning, but I don’t know if I buy it. Hot or cold, some celebration is in order. Happy:

  • National Juice Slush Day (I’m gonna assume this includes Icees and Slurpees, because then I have an excuse to go get an Icee or Slurpee later. Not that I really need one)

  • National Waitstaff Day (tip your waiters—they’ll really want them now with the new law. Check “Need To Know News” for more)

  • National American Red Cross Founder’s Day (The ARC has been a large part of my life since I was 15. Probably a good thing that it was founded because it’s helped make me a solid amount of money)

Did you realize that every date until May 29th will be the same forwards and backwards? 5/21/25, 5/22/25, etc., etc. With that in mind, let’s have a day:

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Shorter one today because as anyone whose seen me in person recently knows, I need a haircut. So I’m going to get a haircut. Good thing I’m in Houston, because that’s where the only man I trust to cut my hair is. If you need a cut, Josh at Chophouse Barber Co. is the only answer. And this is not a paid promo.
